28th Vision Awards Dinner 2021
Our Vision Awards trophy is presented to honorees who made significant impacts at the center. We also present medals to Wooten student achievers. Here's Candice at our last dinner gathering in 2019 giving her acceptance speech for the academic excellence in reading award. Candice is currently active in our virtual CollegeTrek Afterschool Program.
Vision Awards Dinner Cancelled in 2021 For a Second Year Due to the Pandemic
We were like most people who hoped the pandemic would be over by now. That unfortunately is not the case and we are very saddened by the human and other losses. Our dinner is cancelled due to social distancing and other venue restrictions but the need still exists as we continue providing free private tutoring, STEM classes, and other virtual afterschool programming for grades 3-12. We are preparing to reopen in June 2021 with a hybrid summer camp.
Thank you for your support. Also thanks to the college students and professionals and other volunteers and staff helping provide more than 75 free private tutoring sessions per week. See the video below for a virtual thanks from the kids.
